  8.        1.  _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n

  10.        This document describes the features of release 2.0.2,
  11.        2.0.3, and 2.0.4 of the Color Management Execution
  12.        Environment software for IRIX.  The Color Management
  13.        Execution Environment software is referred to as "CMS"
  14.        throughout this document.  The CMS software contains
  15.        libraries (supplied as DSOs), utility programs to apply
  16.        color corrections (cocostiff(1), cocojpeg(1) and cocogif(1),
  17.        etc.), utility programs to tag image files with ICC profiles
  18.        (cmstaggif(1), cmstagjpeg(1), cmstagsgi(1), and
  19.        cmstagstiff(1)), utility programs for file format conversion
  20.        (cmssgi2jpg(1), cmstif2jpg(1)), and International Color
  21.        Consortium (ICC) color profiles for selected devices.

  23.        CMS 2.0.2 is released with IRIX 6.2 systems. CMS 2.0.2
  24.        utility programs are compiled to use the MIPS 2 instruction
  25.        set.

  27.        CMS 2.0.3 is released with IRIX 6.3 systems. CMS 2.0.3
  28.        utility programs are compiled to use the MIPS 2 instruction
  29.        set.

  31.        CMS 2.0.4 is released with IRIX 6.4 systems.  CMS 2.0.4
  32.        utility programs are compiled to use the MIPS 3 instruction
  33.        set.

  35.        CMS 2.0.5 is released with IRIX 6.5 systems.  CMS 2.0.4
  36.        utility programs are compiled to use the MIPS 3 instruction
  37.        set.

  39.        CMS 2.0.2, 2.0.3, 2.0.4, and 2.0.5 contain bug fixes and
  40.        performance optimization to earlier versions of CMS.  All
  41.        four versions are functionally equivalent.

  44.               contains the Software License Agreement.  This
  45.               software is provided to you solely under the terms
  46.               and conditions of the Software License Agreement.

  99.        After you install the online release notes for a product
  100.        (the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem), you can view the release notes on
  101.        your screen.

  103.        Note:  You can read the online release notes for most
  104.               products before installing the software.  Refer to
  105.               the booklet in your CD-ROM case for more information.

  107.        If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
  108.        the Help submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
  109.        _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.

  111.        Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
  112.        options to this command.

  114.        If you do not have a graphics system, you can use the
  115.        _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command.  Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
  116.        accessing the online release notes.
